Tucson All Souls Procession 2014
The All Souls Procession is perhaps one of the most important, inclusive and authentic public ceremonies in North America today. The Procession had its beginnings in 1990 with a ritualistic performance piece created by local artist Susan Johnson, who was grieving the passing of her father. Inspired by Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos holiday, Johnson felt she should honor her father in celebration and creativity. The performance was very well received and many artists were inspired to continue growing the Procession into its modern incarnation. ( taken from All Souls Procession )

Arizona does not have seasons. At least on the desert parts. It just goes from hot to temperate with COLD mornings and evenings. Time to breakout the fall wears.
What I am feeling this fall- continuing the mini dresses with tights ( looking for plaid 1s) and chunky socks paired with large oversized coats.
I have been a fan of oversized coats for years. I always get made fun of for my hobo man parkas but mixed with cute minis + boots or skinnies + crop tops. I think it works!!

Big Black Bag
I love a big carry all tote, and what better than a big black simple leather one!
I found this vintage bag years ago and it is still my ultimate big black bag.
I have tried replacing it, but I love this one. It is the perfect size, shape, and look!
It has the perfect amount of distress, which in my honest opinion give it character.
Carrying a big bag has its +'s and -'s.
Starting with the good, I can carry anything and everything I can think of.
Down below you can see my must have carry a longs.
The bad, I often find myself digging through my purse trying to find that one thing that
always get buried below everything else.
But, keeping little bags in my big bag helps!
Oh, and a heavy duty key ring with lots of charms!
My simple Sunday outfit. I am sure you know from other posts I am a big fan of simple LBDs (little black dresses). Such an important staple in every closet and very versatile. Jazz them up with a vest/sweater/ denim jacket , a few pieces of jewelry and a great pair of boots and you're ready to go!
I bought this dress from tres boutique. And it is my go-to, I could never part with it, like I could never part with my bag! It is worth it to invest in a quality simple black dress. This one is great, it doesn't wrinkle, fade, and is a great weight. Not heavy but not too light.
Today I wore it with a white denim vest by Levis, a pair chunky platforms boots, a few rings, a big chunky cuff, and messy top bun of course!
My bag is full of goodies. I am not known to keep things "match-y match-y"..
Don't get me wrong there is a time and a place for things to match but, what is most important to me
is to be surrounded ( or filled in this case) with things I love.
(coming soon..)

Current Trends : A Mothers Day Post- a little late (?)
Funny Story ... My mom lived in these things.
Those baggy / one size fits most / soft light weight slouch dresses
And it drove me nuts as kiddo, I used to give her such a hard time.
All the other moms in their khakis and button downs &/or workout get up.

Now, I completely understand. These dresses are easy to throw on, comfy and are super cute. Believe it or not, my mom is one of those women with that wo(ah)manly bodies. All the right curves, hippy, booticlious, " an itty bitty waist... ROUND THING in yo face" and then their is me, I don't think I have a curve on my body.
This cut of dress flatters everybody.. or EVERY body.. haha get!?!I can be lame.
But, thanks mom for influencing to fall in love with the slouchy mom dress.
But currently trending... BAGGY baby DOLL oversized SLOUCHY dresses.
+ now served with ripped hem for that awesome grungy hobo chic look we all want
at my shop.
Okay, maybe its not just a current trend of mine, but an obsession. . .
All these dresses are available at my shop : idlized

Closet Staples
Everyone needs a blue jean denim jacket.
It is a classic staple for any closet. Denim jackets, seriously are the ultimate jacket. Perfect for all seasons, go with everything, and can last a life time. Finding one that fits like a glove can pose a challenge. But, once you find it, you wont be able to part.
I have had my denim jacket, for...., hmm,... 7 or 8 years and my life was changed when I found it. Not only is it a jacket in my closet BUT an accessory as well. It gives simple pieces in your closet a little bit of edge.
It makes getting dressed easy. I'll share a little secret of mine with you, the only problem is now you will know when I didn't know what to wear ( which is like everyday!) So, when I am getting dressed..
I will pick a skirt or dress that I want to wear, lets say a simple lace mini. I will try on about 15 tops with it, and if I dont like any of them. I go to my denim jacket, and this instance does not only happen with my little lace mini. If I can't make an outfit work I put my denim jacket with it. Lace, velvet, floral, plaid, check, skirt, dress, pants, jeans, lbd ( little black dress)...Seriously, everything.
The more holes the better. This is not only my moto for denim jackets but all pieces of clothing. There is nothing better than a previously loved..LOVED piece of clothing. When someone just wore the sh*t out of it ( excuse my french - I felt the best way to describe prior wear ). You know its a great piece if someone else loved it to a near death, but, why does it have to dye, gotta keep on lovin'! I found my jacket and it was a previously loved piece, with small little holes on the elbows, soft and light,
The holes have now gotten larger, it has gotten even softer, and I love it even more!
Visit my etsy store for the pieces matched with the denim jean jacket - It is NOT for sale.
