Being involved in your local community! I try to make a point each week to check for upcoming events, art shows, flea markets, openings, etc. Because it is really beneficial to include yourself, a way to start new ventures, move forward, make new friendships, and learn new things.
I sit down with my white board, wipe it clean, and go thru the local magazines and papers ( they're free here!) and take note on what is going. Sometimes I re-add things month after months because I didnt make it the previous month- but it a reminder! And since I have been doing this I've gone to more and more things! So, here is a DIY make a white board even a piece of glass works GREAT!
